Format of the Exam

Written part:

Reading: 20 minutes

Listening: 35 minutes

Writing: 15 minutes

Oral part: 10 minutes

Total length of the exam: 80 minutes

Basic information about the exam

The examinee can get 20 points for each part of the exam. The examinee should get at least 12 points from each part (60%). If the examinee doesn’t get at lest 60% from at least one of the parts of the written exam, he/ she cannot proceed to the oral part and has to re-sit the whole exam. If the examinee fails the oral part, he/ she has to re-sit the whole exam.


The first attempt is free of charge for all participants with a Voucher of the Ministry of the Interior. Other attempts cost CZK1500 each. The examinee can re-sit the exam if he/ she received the Confirmation of Having Failed the Examination. One person can re-sit the exam four times. People without the Voucher of the Ministry of the Interior or Confirmation of Having Failed the Examination shall be able to sit the examination only twice a year on a spring and autumn date according to the conditions set by the school. The fee should be paid before the exam date.
